RunGiving 5k
RunGiving 5k and Fun Run is a community running event in Augusta that collects non-perishable food and clothing donations for the Broad Street Ministry Center. Donations support the ministry’s food pantry and clothing room, which assist senior citizens, people with disabilities, and local people experiencing homelessness. For each donated food item, participants receive a raffle ticket for a prize to be determined.
The 5k course uses the Mill Village Trailhead (109 Eve St., Augusta, GA 30904) and continues onto the canal towpath. The route is primarily concrete with sections of gravel and dirt. The Fun Run follows the Mill Village Trailhead out to a cone on the path and returns to the start line. A virtual race option is available with GPS verification and time upload.
Registration options include in-person and virtual entries. Race shirts are guaranteed for those registered by October 24, 2026; any extra shirts will be distributed first-come, first-served. Pricing varies by option and date; a no-shirt 5K option is available through race day. Packet pickup is scheduled for November 26, 2026 and an early pickup is scheduled on November 25, 2026 at Fleet Feet Augusta, 229 Fury's Ferry Road, Augusta, GA. No refunds are offered. A 30-minute weather delay may be used if needed.
Awards are given by age group and to the top three overall. Timing uses chips with awards based on gun times. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
