RunGiving 5k in Augusta, GA

RunGiving 5k is a community run and walk held in Augusta to collect non perishable food and clothing for the Broad Street Ministry Center. The event includes an in person 5 km, a short Fun Run, and a virtual race option. Collected items are donated to the ministry to support senior citizens, people with disabilities, and the local homeless population. For each donated food item participants receive a raffle ticket for prize entry.

The 5 km course begins and finishes at Mill Village Trailhead (109 Eve St., Augusta, GA 30904) and continues onto the canal towpath. The route is primarily concrete with some gravel and dirt. The Fun Run follows an out and back to a cone on the path and returns to the start area. The 5K is chip timed and awards are given by age group and to the top three overall finishers; age groups include 14 and under through 80 plus for male and female categories.

Registration prices vary by date and by shirt option. Registration includes a Thanksgiving themed unisex T shirt for those who register by October 24, 2026, plus sponsor items or discounts. Packet pickup is available with an early pickup the day before at Fleet Feet Augusta, 229 Fury's Ferry Road. Parking is available at The Salvation Army Kroc Center, 1833 Broad St., Augusta, GA.
