About the race
Louisville's Ugly Sweater Fun Run/Walk is a free, untimed community road event held at Hogan's Fountain in Cherokee Park. Participants may walk or run at their own pace; the event is organized as non-competitive and untimed.
Route options include:
- 2.5 miles
- 5 miles
- 7.5 miles
Festive gear is encouraged but not required. Jogging strollers and leashed dogs are allowed; participants using strollers or bringing dogs are asked to start toward the back for safety and courtesy. A group photo will be taken at the start next to Hogan's Fountain.
The event is presented by Fleet Feet and Brooks. Brooks will have a shoe demo presence on site. After the course, participants can expect refreshments such as donuts, cookies, coffee, tea, and a hot chocolate bar. Hydration support is provided by KoftEdge with Gatorade and water. Free professional photos will be posted after the event thanks to pic.run and Run Louisville KY.
Post-run raffles take place in the pavilion across from Hogan's Fountain; registration and on-site presence are required to be entered and eligible to win.
The event partners with Dream Factory, a national nonprofit that grants wishes for children ages 3–18 with critical or chronic medical conditions. The event is free, and attendees are invited to consider supporting Dream Factory through donations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
