Routes are on road surfaces in the park. Festive gear is encouraged; ugly sweaters are not required. Jogging strollers and friendly, leashed dogs are allowed; those using strollers or bringing dogs are asked to start toward the back for safety and courtesy. A group photo will be taken at the start next to Hogan's Fountain. Free professional photos will be posted after the event by pic.run and Run Louisville KY.
On-site services and charity
The event is presented by Fleet Feet and Brooks, with Brooks on-site offering shoe demos. Post-run offerings include donuts, cookies, coffee and tea from Berserker Brew, a hot chocolate bar, and hydration provided by KoftEdge with Gatorade and water. Post-run raffles take place in the pavilion across from Hogan's Fountain; entrants must register and be present to win. The event partners with Dream Factory and encourages donations to support that organization. Dream Factory serves children ages 3–18 with critical or chronic medical conditions and operates nationally with its office in Louisville.
