AdventHealth Avista Louisville Turkey Trot 2026

The AdventHealth Avista Louisville Turkey Trot is a community event held in Louisville, Colorado, on Thanksgiving morning at 951 Spruce Street. Established as a way to gather donations for the local food bank, Community Food Share, the event operates as a public benefit corporation to support social good in a sustainable manner. The initiative provides groceries to those in need throughout Boulder and Broomfield Counties.

The event features the following distance:

  • 5 km

This is a non-competitive fun run designed for walkers and runners. To maximize the financial contribution to the food bank, the event does not provide bibs, shirts, or chip timing. An unofficial overall time is displayed on a clock located at the finish line. Registration fees are used to support both Community Food Share and the Louisville Turkey Trot School Grant Program, which awards grants to local elementary, middle, and high schools based on participation numbers.

The course begins at the intersection of Front Street and Pine Street and concludes at South Street and Front Street. Participants have access to a post-race celebration which includes music and complimentary refreshments such as coffee, hot cocoa, craft beer, hard cider, and spirits for those of legal age.

Strollers are permitted on the course, and children in strollers do not require registration. Due to insurance regulations, dogs are not allowed at the event or on the race course. Parking is available in designated lots and on streets throughout Downtown Louisville. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
