Louisville Trail Race
The Louisville Trail Race is a trail event in Louisville, Colorado offering three distances: a half marathon, a 10 kilometer, and a 5 kilometer. The event uses local trails around Louisville Community Park and features views of the Flat Irons and the front range mountains. The course is mostly dirt and out and back in format; the half marathon notes a mix of dirt and bike path.
Distances include:
- Half Marathon 13.1 miles, 90% dirt, 10% bike path, 501 ft elevation gain
- 10 KM 6.3 miles, 100% dirt, 285 ft elevation gain
- 5 KM 3.2 miles, 100% dirt, 193 ft elevation gain
Each distance lists major hill climbs and a specific number of aid stations: the half marathon has five aid stations with two water only stations, the 10K has three aid stations, and the 5K has two aid stations. The event provides a designated area for drop bags at the start and finish, limited onsite parking with surrounding street parking options, and packet pickup at a local running store the day before and the morning of the event. Pacers are not permitted and crews may support runners at the finish line. The race includes post race festivities intended for families.
