Louisville Trail Race, Louisville CO
The Louisville Trail Race is a trail running event in Louisville, Colorado, offering three distances: a half marathon, a 10 km, and a 5 km. The event uses area trails with the Flat Irons as a visible backdrop and includes post race festivities and a family friendly atmosphere.
The courses are out and back on primarily dirt surfaces. Course details include:
- Half Marathon : 13.1 miles, 90% dirt 10% bike path, 501 feet total elevation gain.
- 10 km : 6.3 miles, 100% dirt, 285 feet total elevation gain.
- 5 km : 3.2 miles, 100% dirt, 193 feet total elevation gain.
Aid stations are provided along each distance (five for the half marathon, three for the 10 km, two for the 5 km). Major hill climbs are noted on each course and total elevation and maximum elevation are published for each distance. Crews may support runners at the finish; pacers are not permitted. Limited onsite parking is available at Louisville Community Park with additional surrounding street parking. A designated area for personal drop bags is available at the start and finish area.
