Louisville Pure Tap 5K
The Louisville Pure Tap 5K takes place on August 29, 2026, beginning and ending at the Louisville Water Tower (3005 River Road) in Louisville, KY. The course runs east and west along River Road and is described as family-friendly.
The event is a 5K (3.1 Miles) that will be professionally chip-timed. All participants receive a commemorative short-sleeved race shirt and a custom finisher medal.
Registration for the race opens February 23, 2026, and closes March 22, 2026. The standard registration fee is $30.00. Youth participants must be at least five years old on race day and able to complete the 5K course independently.
Dogs are permitted to participate for an additional $10 add-on fee; proceeds from dog registrations benefit Friends of Louisville Metro Animal Services. Registered dogs receive a special bandana. All dogs must be spayed or neutered and provide proof of rabies, distemper, and bordetella vaccinations. An after-event is planned at Club K9 Dog Park Bar (9316 Taylorsville Road), and dogs wearing race swag provide free entry for their owners.
