Louisville Pure Tap 5K
The Louisville Pure Tap 5K is a race presented by the Louisville Water Company. It begins and ends at the Louisville Water Tower on 3005 River Road.
The course follows a scenic route east and west along River Road. The event is chip-timed. All participants receive a short-sleeved race shirt and a custom finisher medal.
A distinctive feature is that participants can bring their dogs. Registering a dog costs an additional $10 as a race add-on, with proceeds benefiting Friends of Louisville Metro Animal Services. Registered dogs receive a special bandana.
After the race, there is an after-party at Club K9 Dog Park Bar on Taylorsville Road. Dogs wearing race swag grant their owners free entry. All dogs must be spayed or neutered and have proof of required vaccinations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
