Louisville Marathon
The Louisville Marathon is scheduled for November 1, 2026 in Louisville, KY. The event offers multiple distance options on USATF-certified courses that are eligible for Boston Marathon qualification.
The route runs through the Parklands of Floyd’s Fork on paved trails and finishes at Egg Lawn. Course maps, elevation profiles, and live participant tracking are provided for each distance. All courses are entirely on paved road or trail.
Available distances:
- 26.2-mile marathon
- 13.1-mile half marathon
- 10K race
Every participant receives a distance-specific finisher medal and awards are given to top finishers by overall and age-group categories. Water stations supply water and sports drink; marathon stations also carry GU energy gels at multiple points. Pacers are provided for a range of goal times. The event will use chip timing.
Event gear options include a 50/50 cotton/poly t-shirt or a quarter-zip pullover for a $6.99 upgrade. Packet pickup can be handled by mail for a fee of $14.99 or collected in person at a local running store (Swags Sport Shoes, 9407 Westport Rd, Louisville, KY); same-day pickup on event morning is possible with an expected short wait. On-site gear check requires a clear bag.
Food and finish-line items include Derby pie for finishers and one complimentary beer for participants aged 21 and over. On-site parking is centered at Egg Lawn with additional off-site parking and shuttle service to the event site. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
