Event overview
The Loudoun Serenity House 5K Run/Walk for Recovery is a community fundraising event centered on a 5K run or walk. The event is scheduled for May 2, 2026. The registration fee is listed as $40 and registration opens November 7, 2025. The run highlights the Path to Purpose program from the Leesburg Recovery Community Center, a three-year initiative funded by a grant from SAHMSA that offers free peer-based mentoring, education, and personal advocacy for people in recovery.
Logistics and participation
A pre-run packet pickup is available at the Recovery Community Center, 29 N King Street, Leesburg, VA; free parking is available at the Pennington Lot three blocks away. An in-person, non-sanctioned fun run is planned at Morven Park (17339 Southern Planter Ln, Leesburg, VA). The event supports Groups/Teams and individual Fundraisers; groups are collections of participants and fundraisers collect donations for a group or individual. Participants may complete the 5K by running, walking, biking, or swimming at another location. There will be no official race timing at the in-person run. Organizers will provide water and snacks before the run and a picnic lunch afterwards. Dogs are allowed if park rules are followed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
