The Dark Side 8 Hour Ultra
The Dark Side 8 Hour Ultra is an eight hour timed trail running event held in Little Bennett Park in Montgomery County, Maryland. The event base is at the Little Bennett Campground Pavilion near 23705 Frederick Rd in Clarksburg, and it uses the same course as in 2025.
The course is a 5.5 mile loop that begins at the Little Bennett campground and is primarily on single track trails. Runners may complete one lap or multiple laps within the eight hour time period.
On course support includes a primary aid station offering water, hydration options and common ultra foods such as potatoes, broth, bacon and French toast sticks. A post event meal of vegetable chili and a taco bar will be available after the run.
