Lost Our Marbles
Lost Our Marbles is an indoor ultra marathon held at 1717 Elphinstone Street in Regina. It is described as the event's second year and offers timed endurance formats where total distance is measured by completed laps.
Three event durations are offered:
- 3 hour challenge
- 6 hour challenge
- 12 hour challenge
Laps are tracked using a tangible system: each completed lap is represented by placing a marble into a personal tin. At the end of a participant's event, marbles are counted to determine total distance. After the event, all marbles are combined in a bin and participants may submit one guess; the closest guesses win prizes donated to the event.
The event is self supported with no aid station. Two accessible water fountains with bottle access are available. Clean change rooms and washrooms are provided. Food other than water is not allowed on the track; a crew and event support area is located adjacent to a food court where food may be consumed. Participants have a designated storage area for supplies and a chair beside the track for rest periods.
Every participant receives a commemorative participation item. Cash donations may be collected on the day of the event and all proceeds are given to CMHA Regina Branch. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
