Event Overview
The Loons Pennant Race is scheduled for Friday, August 14, 2026, at Dow Diamond in Midland, Michigan. It is an evening event combining a run with a baseball game.
Races
Participants can choose from three events:
- 1 Mile Run
- 5K Run
- 5K Walk
The race is the third event in the Midland Triple Challenge, alongside the Dow RunWalk and Run the River. A single registration is available for the Triple 5K or Triple 1 Mile Challenge, which includes special swag.
Location and Schedule
The event takes place at 825 E Main Street in Midland. Packet pick-up is available on the race day, August 14, outside Dow Diamond from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM. The event is held regardless of weather conditions.
Registration fees increase on specific dates: April 16, July 1, and August 13. All fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Post-Race Experience
Registration includes a complimentary lawn ticket to the Great Lakes Loons baseball game following the race. The Loons will play against the South Bend Cubs on a themed "Grit Night" with a Detroit Lions motif. The event coincides with Foodie Friday, offering discounted concessions like $2 hot dogs and $1 chips, ice cream sandwiches, or sodas.
