The Loon Mountain Race is an uphill mountain trail event that finishes at the summit North Peak on Loon Mountain in Lincoln, New Hampshire. The organizer lists the course as approximately 6.03 miles with about 3,066 ft of elevation gain. The route combines trail, grass ski slopes, and cat track, and includes steep sections with grades reported up to 40 percent, notably the kilometer-long "Upper Walking Boss" on a black diamond slope.
