About the race
Longwood Village 10K and 5K Races return to the calendar on 18 October 2026 with updated race routes and a newly approved permit (cert. no: 26/463). Both races start in Longwood Village and follow scenic country roads, include a section along the Royal Canal Greenway, and finish back in the village.
Race headquarters is at Longwood GAA Centre (A83 CV07), where overall and category prizegiving and refreshments are provided after the races. The event is organised for the benefit of the local community, supporting Longwood GAA, Longwood Tidy Towns, Longwood Running Group and other local causes.

Entry fees listed for pre-entry and on-the-day registration are:
- 5K €15 pre-entry, €20 on the day
- 10K €20 pre-entry, €25 on the day
