The Gingerbread Run 2026
The Gingerbread Run takes place at Donadea Forest Park in Co. Kildare on 7 November 2026. The event consists of three separate 10 km races held across the day. Entries are for ages 16 years plus only.
Each participant receives a medal, a beanie hat and a gingerbread muffin on completion. First male and first female in each race receive a small commemorative trophy. Water is provided on site courtesy of Refill Ireland. There will be eight portaloos at the venue and organisers will supply toilet paper; participants are asked to take personal responsibility for their use. There is no bag drop so belongings should be left in vehicles at the owner’s risk.
Parking is limited and organisers request carpooling where possible. There are barrier access windows for the event; outside published access windows an access fee of €5 applies. Participants are asked to arrive no earlier than 35 minutes before their race. Anyone seen littering in the park will be disqualified and asked to leave the course.
The course is a 5 km loop run twice. There will be a lead bike and marshals on course; there will not be pacers. Live results will be published online. Refunds are not available after 21 October 2026 and there are no deferrals. Early bird entry is €25 plus a booking fee for the first 100 registrations; entry is €29.95 thereafter.
