The Gingerbread Run
The Gingerbread Run takes place in Donadea Forest Park in County Kildare and consists of three separate 10 km races held on the same day. The route is a 5 km loop run twice, with a lead bike and marshals on course. There are no pacers.
All finishers receive a medal, a beanie bobble hat and a gingerbread muffin. Water is provided by Refill Ireland. First male and first female in each race receive a small commemorative trophy. An event MC will provide music and commentary and Sweaty Snaps are the official photographers.
Entry details include an early bird rate of €25 plus booking fee for the first 100 entries and a standard entry fee of €29.95 thereafter. Entries are open to participants aged 16 years and older. There are no refunds after 21/10/26 and no deferrals.
The venue has limited parking and participants are encouraged to carpool. There is no formal bag drop so belongings should be left in vehicles at the owner’s risk. The organisers expect attendees to keep the park clean; littering in the forest will result in disqualification. Eight portaloos will be provided on site.
