Event
Longhorn Run is a student-led running event at The University of Texas at Austin held each spring on the Forty Acres. The event was established in 2010 and the 2026 edition takes place on April 18, 2026. Proceeds from the race support the Student Government Student Excellence Fund and the Recreational Sports Excellence Fund.

Registration and inclusions
Registration opens on February 18, 2026. Early bird and standard pricing apply; published fees show the 5K priced at $40 (early) and $45 (standard), and the 10K priced at $45 (early) and $50 (standard). Virtual registration is also offered and includes a race tee. Race registration includes a short-sleeve Nike Dri-FIT race tee and access to the post-race celebration. Virtual packets mailed internationally are not available.
Policies and organization
The event is organized by a student committee with guidance from Recreational Sports. Longhorn Run maintains a no-refunds policy; registrations may be transferred to another person but refunds are not issued. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
