Longhorn Run 2026
Longhorn Run 2026 is a student-led 5K and 10K road race on the University of Texas at Austin campus, held on Saturday, April 18, 2026. The event takes place on the Forty Acres and welcomes students, alumni, faculty, staff, and the greater Austin community. The Longhorn Run is organized with guidance from Recreational Sports and proceeds support student-focused funds.

Registration, options, and philanthropy
Registration opens on February 18, 2026. Race registration includes a short sleeve Nike Dri-FIT race tee and access to the post-race celebration. A virtual runner option is available; virtual participants may log a run on race weekend, submit results online, and receive a race tee via packet pick-up or optional shipping. Virtual packets mailed will be sent after race day and cannot be mailed internationally.
Proceeds from the Longhorn Run benefit the Student Government Student Excellence Fund and the Recreational Sports Excellence Fund. The event has a no-refunds policy; registered participants may transfer their registration to another person. The race is produced by a student committee with support from Recreational Sports.
