Longhorn Last Person Standing
Longhorn Last Person Standing is a backyard ultra held in Dripping Springs, Texas on December 5, 2026. The field is capped at 123 runners. Exact venue and full course details will be provided closer to race day.
The format requires runners to complete a 4 mile loop every hour. Each loop includes roughly 200 feet of elevation gain and loss. Runners have 60 minutes to complete each loop; failing to finish a loop in time or failing to start the next loop results in elimination. The event continues in this way until one runner remains. That final runner is the only official finisher; all other participants receive a DNF.
Standard backyard ultra rules apply. Pacers are not permitted. Crew access and aid are available at the start and finish area only. Runners should carry any nutrition or hydration they need while on the loop. Parking is available at the venue.
The event presents the backyard ultra format on Hill Country terrain and follows a simple hourly loop structure. This is the inaugural running of Longhorn Last Person Standing. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
