Longest Day Road Race : event details
The event takes place on Friday, May 29, 2026 at Thunderbird Stadium on the UBC campus in Vancouver, BC. The start area is near East Mall and Stadium Road and the finish is on the concourse in front of the stadium grandstand.
Races offered:
- Kid's Mile - first part of the adult loop then returns via Main Mall.
- 5 km - scenic campus loop, one lap.
- 10 km - same loop, two laps.
Online registration is open up to race time. Package pickup is centered at Forerunners West 4th with recommended pickup dates on Wednesday May 27 and Thursday May 28; race swag is available only at Forerunners. Timing chips and meal vouchers are attached to bib numbers; the organizer states no number, no chip, no time, no meal. The first 1,000 5k/10k runners who collect packages at Forerunners receive a Longest Day running hat.
Water stations are located at 1 km, 3 km, 6 km and 8 km. Chip timing is provided by Startline Timing and live results are available through the timing provider. A complimentary bag and bike check is provided near the grandstand, and washrooms are available in the grandstand and at the south end of the parking lot. No parking is available at the stadium itself; parking is available on the east side of East Mall and in the parking structure on Thunderbird Blvd at Wesbrook. Bike racks are available.
The post-race area on the stadium concourse includes a full meal, live music, an onsite beer garden, partner products and over 60 draw prizes. Performance awards and partner merchandise are part of the prize offerings. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
