Longest Day Road Race : event details
The event takes place on Friday, May 29, 2026 at Thunderbird Stadium on the UBC campus in Vancouver, BC. Races use a measured scenic 5 km loop on campus and the finish is on the stadium concourse in front of the grandstand.
Distances offered
- Kid's Mile, first part of the adult loop then back along Main Mall.
- 5K, one lap of the 5 km course.
- 10K, two laps of the 5 km course.
Logistics and services: online registration is available up until race time. Package pickup is at Forerunners West 4th, recommended Wednesday May 27 and Thursday May 28 from 10:00 to 20:00; day-of pickup at the site is not encouraged. Bibs include timing chips and meal vouchers. A complimentary bag and bike check is provided next to the stadium grandstand about 60 m from the finish. Washrooms are available in the grandstand and at the south end of the parking lot.
Course support and timing: water stations at the 1 km, 3 km, 6 km and 8 km marks. Chip timing is provided by Startline Timing and results are available in real time. No parking is available at the stadium; parking is available on the east side of East Mall and in the parking structure on Thunderbird Blvd. Bike racks are available at the stadium.
Post-race amenities and prizes include a full post-run meal, live music, an onsite Beer Garden, bonus partner products, a running hat for the first 1000 5k/10k package pickups at Forerunners, and over 60 draw prizes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
