Event Overview
The Long Sault Trail Race & Ultra takes place at the Long Sault Conservation Area in Bowmanville, Ontario. The course uses two distinct 7 km trail loops. Participants can choose from several distances.
Available Distances
- 2K Kids Fun Run: A 2 km trail loop for children.
- 7K Run/Hike: A single 7 km loop.
- 14K Run: Two different 7 km loops.
- 21K Run: Three loops using both 7 km trail loops.
- 6 Hour Ultra: Participants run as many loops as possible within a six-hour time limit, alternating between the two trail loops.
Event Details
Parking on site is limited and costs $7 per vehicle; carpooling is encouraged. A paid parking receipt must be shown at registration. There is one aid station at the start/finish line with water and lemon/lime Skratch, plus snacks for 21K and 6-hour participants. All runners must be capable of carrying what they need for a 7 km loop. Every participant receives event swag. Prizes are awarded for first, second, and masters runners in each distance, subject to registration numbers.
The event supports the conservation organization CLOCA through fundraising. Enhanced Refund Protection is available for purchase at registration; otherwise, no refunds or deferrals are issued.
