About the race
Santa Shuffle Whitby is a fundraising event held at the Abilities Centre in Whitby, Ontario, in support of The Salvation Army. It is part of a national series that raises funds for local Salvation Army programs across Canada.
Registration is simplified for 2026 with a single entry option covering both the run and the walk. Each participant receives a personalized race bib and a one-of-a-kind finisher's medal that doubles as a Christmas tree ornament. The event highlights fundraising incentives that reward participants who reach specific donation thresholds.
Distances offered:
- 5K Fun Run
- 1K Elf Walk
Fundraising details include a national goal of CA$15,000 and a current reported total of CA$519.49. Donors will receive online donation confirmations and official tax receipts for donations over CA$20. Limited-edition recognition items are awarded to fundraisers: a buff for CA$50 raised, a toque for CA$150 (youth threshold CA$100), and a hoodie for early fundraisers who reach CA$500.
