Santa Shuffle Whitby

The Santa Shuffle Whitby is a community fundraising event that supports The Salvation Army’s local work. It takes place at the Abilities Centre in Whitby, Ontario, on December 5, 2026. The event combines a short fun run and a walk to raise funds for local programs that provide food, shelter, and practical assistance.

Registration for 2026 is offered as a single option: Individual – 5K Fun Run / 1K Elf Walk. Each participant receives a personalized race bib and a one-of-a-kind finisher's medal that also serves as a Christmas tree ornament. The published registration fee for this option is CA$61.59 (including processing fees). Youth (18 and under) and seniors (65 and over) receive an automatic CA$10 discount; group discounts apply automatically for groups of four or more.

Fundraising is integrated into the event. The Salvation Army lists a fundraising goal of CA$15,000 for the Whitby event and shows CA$866.80 raised to date. Donors receive online donation confirmations and The Salvation Army issues official tax receipts for donations over CA$20.

A 2026 Holiday Hope Champion program offers limited-edition items for fundraisers at specific thresholds: a buff at CA$50, a toque at CA$150 (youth threshold CA$100), and a hoodie for early fundraisers who raise CA$500 or more among the first 500 nationwide.
