Long Creek 60k : event overview
The Long Creek 60k takes place in Virginia Beach, VA on April 19, 2026. Two race distances are offered:
- 60K
- 30K
Both events use a 10 hour time limit. The 60K is two loops of the course and the 30K is one loop. All finishers who complete their distance within the time limit will receive a custom finisher award.
Course and race logistics
The course uses trails inside First Landing State Park and begins and finishes at the boat ramp side of the Narrows Trail. It passes through maritime forests, cypress swamps, salt marsh, bay shoreline, and in some spots runs along the beach of Broad Bay. Trails on the route include Long Creek, White Hill Lake, Cape Henry, Kingfisher, Osmanthus, Bald Cypress, High Dune, Fox Run and Osprey.
There are three aid stations at the intersections of Long Creek/64th, Cape Henry/King Fischer, and Cape Henry (near trail center). Aid station supplies include Tailwind, water, soda, gels, pickle juice, and various foods. This is a cupless race; cups will not be provided. Each entrant receives a 200 ml collapsible SpeedCup at packet pickup. Packet pickup locations include Running Etc.
