Long Beach Race for Rare 5K Run & Walk
The 5th Annual Long Beach Race for Rare 5K Run & Walk takes place at Granada Launch Ramp, 5000 E Ocean Blvd, Long Beach, CA. The event raises funds and awareness for the National MPS Society and directs all proceeds to support its mission.

Event options include an in-person 5K run, a walk, a virtual 5K that can be completed at any location up to October 10, and a picnic-only option. Registration fees listed for events are $35 for the run, walk, and virtual options, and $10 for picnic only. Registration opened on April 17, 2026; in-person registration closes on October 10, 2026, and virtual and picnic registrations close on October 11, 2026.
The event program features awards, a raffle, and a beachside picnic. Lunch is included in registration costs. Shirts are available on a first-come, first-served basis at registration. Virtual participants may complete the 5K in increments until they reach the total distance.
