Event overview
Lofty's Revenge takes place on 27 June 2026 and finishes at Mount Lofty Summit in Crafers, South Australia. The event is organised by Adelaide Trail Runners and offers multiple race distances that run from areas near Adelaide to the summit.
Distances
- 50 km ultra marathon, starting at Felixstow Reserve
- 28 km, starting at Foxfield Oval in Athelstone
- 10 km, start and finish at Mt Lofty Summit
The 50 km course has about 1,800 m of elevation gain and is approximately 70% trail and 30% road. All distances include the final section on Eurilla Track, a steep 600 m segment with a maximum gradient of about 20 percent.
Teams, course details and aid
A 3-person teams relay is available for the 50 km distance only. The teams event is limited to 30 teams and has three legs: 16.1 km, 19.5 km and 14.6 km. There is one competition category for teams and teams may include any combination of male and female runners. Toilets are available at the start of each relay leg. Aid station locations are shown on the All Trails web maps; they are not visible in the All Trails mobile app.
Entries and pricing
Entries open in late 2025 with Early Bird, Standard and Late entry windows. Pricing varies by distance and by whether a return bus is included. Example prices listed are: 50 km solo with bus from AUD 160 to 210, 50 km solo without bus from AUD 140 to 180, 28 km from AUD 120 to 160, and 10 km from AUD 60 to 100. A "Legends Entry" scheme offers complimentary or reduced entries for certain podium finishers from specified events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
