Locomotion Trail Runs

The Locomotion Trail Runs, held at Locomotion in Eaglescliffe, celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Stockton & Darlington Railway and Northeast engineering heritage. Scheduled for September 21, 2025, the event offers two routes: a 10-mile run and a 5-mile run, both partially following the original railway route. The 10-mile course includes road and track sections through Preston Park and the Teesdale Way, while the 5-mile route starts at Stockton and finishes at Locomotion.

The runs are dog-friendly but not suitable for standard prams. Proceeds support the Great North Air Ambulance. Amenities include free parking and train travel for 5-mile participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
