Locomotion 3 6 12 24 Hour Endurance Event
The Locomotion is a timed run and walk event held on a flat USATF certified 2.00 mile loop at Camp Jordan Recreation Area in East Ridge, Tennessee on April 25, 2026. The event offers multiple durations so participants may run for specific timed windows.
Available timed events include:
- 24 hour race
- 12 hour race
- 6 hour race
- 3 hour race
Final results are based on total laps completed within each time limit. Runners may have crew support each lap from a designated grassy area near the start and finish. Pacers are not allowed unless they are registered participants. The event is cup free so participants must bring their own hydration systems. Volunteers will provide lunch and a concession stand will offer hot food and other items during the event. Littering on the course can result in disqualification. Race officials may evaluate a participant’s condition and make decisions about whether they may continue.
Awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers in each event. Special recognition is noted for completing 50K in six hours, 50 miles in twelve hours, and 100 miles in twenty four hours. All participants receive a finishers medal.
The event is part of the Chattanooga Ultra Championship series, which requires participation in three specified races for eligibility and cumulative mileage awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
