Locomotion 3/6/12/24 Hour Endurance Event : April 24, 2027
The Locomotion is a timed run/walk event held at Camp Jordan Recreation Area in East Ridge, TN on April 24, 2027. The course is a flat, USATF-certified 2.00-mile loop. The event is presented as part of regional championship programs, including the RRCA Tennessee Ultra Championship and the Chattanooga Ultra Championship series.
Available race durations include:
- 24 hour race
- 12 hour race
- 6 hour race
- 3 hour race
Final results are based on total laps completed within each time limit. Runners may have crew support every lap from a designated area near the start-finish. Registered participants only may serve as pacers. Aid station support will offer food and drinks and volunteers will provide lunch, but participants are responsible for their own food and water. The event is cup-free, so participants must bring personal hydration systems. Littering on course may result in disqualification.
Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each event. Special recognition is noted for completing 50K in 6 hours, 50 miles in 12 hours, or 100 miles in 24 hours. All participants receive a finisher medal. The park provides room for tents and RVs and has on-site restrooms and a porta toilet; overnight stays at the park require separate registration and fees.
