Event overview
The event is a timed endurance run at Camp Jordan Recreation Area in East Ridge, TN. The course is a flat, USATF-certified 2.00-mile loop. Race formats offered are:
- 24-hour
- 12-hour
- 6-hour
- 3-hour
The 12-hour race serves as the RRCA Tennessee State Ultra Championship. Awards include plaques for completing 100 miles in 24 hours, 50 miles in 12 hours, and 50K in 6 hours. The top three male and top three female finishers in each event will receive awards. There are also awards for course records in the 6, 12, and 24-hour events.
Course, rules and scoring
Final results are based on the total number of laps completed within each event time limit. The event is cup-free; participants must bring their own hydration systems. Runners are responsible for their food and water, though volunteers will provide lunch and a concession stand will offer hot food throughout the event. Littering on the course may result in disqualification. Race officials may evaluate participants for safety and can remove or restrict runners if needed. Crew support is allowed each lap from a designated grass area near the start line. Pacers are not allowed unless they are registered participants.
Facilities and packet pickup
The race village will be in the gravel parking lot near the start-finish area and will be marked before race day. Tent camping and RV spots with electricity are available through the park; overnight stays require registration with the park and payment of associated fees. Restrooms are on-site near the start line and the backside of the course; a porta toilet will be available in the start-finish area. Packet pickup is available at the race village the day before and on race morning. April 23 is listed as the last day to register to be guaranteed a race shirt.
