General Sosabowski Race, Leven, Fife
The General Sosabowski Race takes place in Leven, Fife on 30 August 2026. The event uses a new venue and a new race route for 2026 and is open to adults and children aged 12 years and over. Race headquarters are at the Royal British Legion, TA Centre, North Street, Leven KY8 4LX.
The course is an out and back route on firm sand along the beach between Leven and Lundin Links. The distance for the event is 5 km. All finishers receive a commemorative Sosabowski Race medal and runners are offered free soup after the race. Prizes are awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall male and female finishers in both the adult and children categories.
Entrants must provide their own drinks as the organiser cannot supply water. There is no official baggage storage; any baggage should be left in vehicles or at the start and finish area at the owner’s risk. Race results will be posted online after the event and updates, results and photos will be shared on the Nuts Trail Races Facebook page.
The event is insured and permitted by the Association of Running Clubs and is held under ARC rules. Entry fee for adults and children is £5.00. Number transfers are allowed up to seven days before the race but entry fees are non refundable and non transferable beyond the stated transfer period.
