2027 Livermore Valley Half & 5K
The Livermore Valley Half & 5K takes place in Livermore, California, with the start and finish area situated at the corner of First Street and South Livermore Avenue. The event features multiple distances catering to different age groups and preferences:
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 5K (5 km)
- Kids' Run (1/4 mile)
The half marathon course leads participants south down Arroyo Road, passing the Olivina sign and entering Sycamore Grove, a 700-acre nature reserve. The route continues through Wente Vineyard and Golf Course, Livermore's largest winery, before passing through Holdener Park and returning to the finish line in front of the Bankhead Theater. A pace team is available for the half marathon for various time goals ranging from 1:30 to 2:45.
Participants receive several amenities, including a custom long-sleeve racing top, a bespoke finisher's medal, and access to free runner photos and a tracking app. The event also provides a free gear check for all runners.
Following the races, an award-winning wine and beer festival is held, featuring live music and a commemorative tasting wine glass for participants. The event location is accessible via the Pleasanton BART station or from Oakland International Airport, which is 33 miles away. There is a 3-hour time limit for the completion of the Half Marathon.
