Event Overview
The Live Like Lou 5K Run/Walk is the 5th annual event. It is organized by the Phi Delta Theta fraternity at Kent State University to raise funds and awareness for Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.
Course Details
The 5K event starts and finishes at Risman Plaza at the Kent Student Center on the Kent State University campus in Kent, Ohio. A course map is available online. There will be one water station near the midpoint of the course.
Registration
Online registration is available. The entry fee is $20 until February 27th and $25 on race day. Packet pickup occurs at Risman Plaza from 10:30 AM until the start of the event.
Post-Race & Amenities
Post-race snacks and bottled water are provided at the finish line. A celebration includes giveaways from sponsors, awards for the fastest runners, and recognition for participating KSU fraternity and sorority members. Parking is available at the KSU Student Center.
Awards & Results
Hand-crafted trophies and $50 Visa gift cards are awarded to the first-place overall male and female finishers. Age group awards are also given for categories ranging from 14 and under to 80 and older. Professional timing services are provided. All participants receive free custom finisher certificates and can view and share finish line photos. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
