Littleton Road Race
The Littleton Road Race features a 5-kilometer race and a 1-mile fun run, both beginning and ending at Fay Park, 20 Foster Street, Littleton, Massachusetts. Walkers are welcome in the 5K and the fun run is open to all ages. Both courses use marked routes that return to Fay Park.
The event is a fundraiser for the Littleton Road Race & Track Organization. Proceeds support maintenance and enhancements to the town's track and field facility and efforts to promote track and field in Littleton. Past projects funded by the race include new landscaping at the track entrance, a pole vault box and pit, a school track records board, and summer track and field programs.
On-course and event amenities include chip timing, courses closed to traffic, mile markers and timed splits, a water station at the two-mile mark, medical personnel, post-race refreshments, bag and bicycle check, and porta potties. Local vendors and music are part of the event atmosphere. Awards are given in the 5K to overall top finishers and by age group, and the one-mile fun run offers top prizes plus finisher medals.
Early bib and t-shirt pickup is scheduled the day before the event at Fay Park. Dogs are not allowed in either race and runners with strollers are asked to stay to the side or rear. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
