Littleton Road Race
The Littleton Road Race takes place at Fay Park, 20 Foster Street, Littleton, Massachusetts. The event offers two distances:
- 5 kilometer race
- 1 mile fun run
Both races begin and end at Fay Park. The 5K course follows Foster Street south to Tahattawan Road, continues to Harwood Avenue, returns to Foster Street, and finishes at Fay Park. The 1 mile fun run goes south on Foster Street to Mill Road, loops back on Foster Street, and returns to Fay Park; the out and back section is divided by cones and runners should stay to the right of the cones.
The event features chip timing, courses closed to traffic, mile markers with timed splits, a water station at the two mile mark on the 5K, medical personnel, bag check and bicycle check, porta potties, and post race refreshments. Awards for the 5K include overall male and female medals and prizes, plus first through third place medals in age groups 0 to 14, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 to 79, and 80 and over. The 1 mile fun run awards the top male and female and gives a finisher’s medal and popsicles to all participants.
The race is a fundraiser for the Littleton Road Race and Track Organization; proceeds support maintenance and enhancements of the local track and field facility and youth track and field programs.
