Little Duck 50k : Windham, ME
The event takes place in Windham, ME at the East Windham Conservation Area and offers two trail distances. To complete the advertised 50k race each runner will run a total of five 6.5 mile loops. The 10k is a single loop.
Course routing uses the Purple, Red, and Blue trails. Each loop includes roughly 900 feet of elevation gain. The course layout places one aid station at the Lowell Preserve parking lot and another at the East Windham Conservation Area parking lot; stations will provide snacks, water, and electrolyte drinks. Volunteers will track runner progress, and organizers state a no runner left behind policy.
The race will use the EWCA parking area and the Purple trail for parking and the start/finish area. Expected field size for the first year is 10 to 50 entrants. Upon completion of the race, finishers will receive a t-shirt, most likely a cotton Hanes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
