Little Duck 50k - Windham, ME
Little Duck 50k is a trail running event held at the East Windham Conservation Area in Windham, ME. The event offers two distances:
- 50k as five 6.5 mile loops (32.5 miles total)
- 10k as one loop
Each loop includes roughly 900 feet of elevation gain. The 50k course runs on the Purple, Red, and Blue trails and uses a five-loop format that returns to the East Windham Conservation Area parking lot after each circuit.
There are two aid stations per loop. One aid station is located at the Lowell Preserve parking lot; the start and finish area also serves as an aid station. Stations supply snacks, water, and electrolyte drinks. Volunteers monitor runner progress and the event operates with a no runner left behind policy; organizers remain until the final finisher crosses the line.
Runners receive a t-shirt on completion; the shirt will most likely be a cotton Hanes. The race size for the first year is anticipated to be between 10 and 50 participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
