Event overview
The Lithgow Ridgy-Didge Trail Run Festival is scheduled for 28 March 2026 at Hassans Walls Reserve, Lithgow NSW, with the race hub at Lithgow Pony Club, Sheedy's Gully. This is the fifth edition organised by Blue Mountains Fitness. Multiple race distances are offered, including a 1.6 km kids race for under-12s; kids receive a medal and have free registration until 26 March 2026. All finishers receive a Ridgy-Didge medal. Cut-off times are set by race duration: 12 hours for the 50 km, 11 hours for the marathon, 10 hours for the 30 km, and 9.5 hours for the 22 km.

The 50 km and marathon courses traverse 13 ridges on dirt roads, 4WD tracks, walking trails and mountain bike single track, with substantial elevation (the 50 km is listed at about 2400 m gain/loss). Courses pass multiple lookouts with views of the Lithgow, Hartley, Megalong and Kanimbla Valleys. Three major aid stations are on course at CP6, CP7 and CP13. Drop bags can be transported to designated checkpoints; runners must label bags with name, bib and checkpoint. Interactive GPX/PDF maps and mobile coverage are available on course. Mandatory gear is required for most distances and includes items such as a raincoat, thermal layer, 500 ml fluid capacity, whistle, mobile phone, survival blanket and snake bandage; headlamps are required for runners who pass CP13 after 4:30 pm.
