LIRRC Ducks Easter Bunny 5K Run/Walk
The event is a community 5K run/walk held at Eisenhower Park, Field 2, Parking Lot 2, East Meadow, NY 11554. The event program includes a free kids fun run in addition to the main 5K distance.
The course is described as flat and fast within Eisenhower Park and is USATF certified. Water and refreshments are provided at the finish area. Results are delivered live online, by email, and by text; free video and same-day finish-line photos are available.
Awards include trophies and a chocolate bunny for the first male and female overall finishers. Top three finishers in each male and female age group earn awards; age groups are 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80 plus. There is no duplication of awards between overall winners and age-group winners.
Registration is noted as not yet open and limited day-of registration will be available. Participants who register at least three weeks before the event may receive a personalized race number. Bib pickup is handled on the day of the event and a self-lookup area is provided for those who do not know their bib number.
