Lindsey Sunflower and Homecoming Festival 5k
This event takes place on July 25, 2026, in Lindsey, Ohio, with the community race start and finish located at Lindsey Park on the Inland Trail. The course is described as an accurate, flat out and back route along the trail.
Race offerings include:
- 5K run
- Youth quarter mile run (400 meters or 440 yards option)
Registration and fees are split between pre-registration and race day. Pre-registration fee is $30 and includes a guaranteed tech race shirt for pre-registered participants; there is a $2 upcharge for 2XL and larger sizes. Youth registration is $5 without a shirt or $15 with a tech shirt. Mail-in registration deadline is July 10, 2026, and the online registration deadline is July 19, 2026. Race day registration has a higher fee and shirt availability is limited.
Awards recognize top overall male and female finishers and top master male and female finishers. Age group awards are given to the top three in multiple age divisions, and youth finishers receive medals. There is a free wagon ride from The Sunflower for youth runners who show their medal.
The event is sponsored by Fremont Elite Runners Club, Lindsey Sunflower Festival, and Second Sole of Perrysburg, with support from Sandusky County Parks, the sheriff's office, and EMS. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
