Course and awards
The course is an out-and-back route on the Inland Trail and is described as accurate and flat. Awards include top male, top female, male master, female master, and finisher medals for the kids run. Age-group awards are given to the top three in multiple brackets, ranging from 14 and under through 75-79 and older. A free wagon ride is offered from The Sunflower for kid runners who show their medal.

Pre-registration fee for the 5k is $30; tech shirts are guaranteed to pre-registered participants. A $2 upcharge applies for 2XL and larger shirts. Kid race options are $5 without a shirt or an added $10 for a race shirt ($15 total). Mail-in registration deadline is July 10, 2026; online registration deadline is July 19, 2026. Race day registration fee is $35 with limited shirts; a $2 upcharge applies for 2XL.
