Melt the Ice 5K - Fremont, OH
Melt the Ice 5K is a community run/walk held on March 21, 2026, organized by the Fremont Elite Runners Club. The event starts and finishes outside the Strand Theater at 220 S. Front Street, Fremont, OH 43420.
All proceeds will be donated to the Fremont Exchange Club. Registration options and fees listed by the organizer are: mail-in $25 (postmarked by March 6, 2026) and online $25 (by March 15, 2026), with race day registration at $30 (limited shirts; 2XL add $2). Race day registration opens at 8:30 AM and continues until 15 minutes before the race start. Race shirts are guaranteed for pre-registered participants.
Awards are presented to the overall male and female finishers and to the top three finishers in multiple age categories, including 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70 and over. The course map is provided by the organizer. The event will be held rain or shine, with no refunds; organizers reserve the right to cancel if conditions are unsafe due to weather or other emergencies.
