Star Spangled Squirt Gun Run 5K
The Star Spangled Squirt Gun Run/Walk 5K takes place on July 4, 2026 in Port Clinton, Ohio. The event is based at 226 E Perry Street, with registration and awards located on Adams Street in Port Clinton.
The course is scenic and described as flat, running along Lake Erie and through historic downtown Port Clinton. Volunteers positioned along the route carry squirt guns to help participants cool off during the event. The advertised distance is 3.1 Miles.
Registration opens January 1, 2026 and closes June 26, 2026. To receive a t shirt and race bib, participants must pre register by June 23, 2026. Entry fees listed are $35.00 for standard pre registration, $40.00 on race day, $20.00 for pre registration for children 9 years and younger, and $25.00 on race day for that younger category. Mail in registration is accepted by check payable to Port Clinton Women’s Club and sent to 649 Jackson Drive, Port Clinton, Ohio 43452.
Awards are offered to overall male and female 5K winners, first place male and female in each 5K run age group, and first place male and female overall for the 5K walk. Age divisions start at 14 and under and continue through 70 and older. Pre registered participants receive t shirts and bibs on race day and refreshments follow the event.
