Lincolnway Run : Cal-Wheat Fun Days
The Lincolnway Run takes place on August 22, 2026 and serves as the opening event of the 4th Annual Cal-Wheat Fun Days weekend. Races start and finish at Wheatland Park and follow an out and back route to the east of town along the old Lincolnway Highway. There is an awards ceremony after the races.
Race distances include:
- 5K run/walk
- 1 Mile run/walk
- Kids 1/4 Mile fun run (approximately 400 meters)
Packet pick-up and race day registration are available on race day. The last day to register online is August 20, 2026. Vehicle parking is available at the city park, the school parking lot, and on surrounding streets.
All proceeds will be used to develop matching funds for a grant to build the Lincolnway Trail, a multi use trail intended to connect the Calamus and Wheatland communities by using a section of the historic Lincoln Highway.
The run is described as the community kickoff for a weekend of events across Calamus and Wheatland. Weekend activities include a street dance, a parade, an auto club cruise in, children’s games and attractions, food vendors, a cornhole tournament, a band performance, a community church gathering, a community meal, and an alumni baseball game.
