Event Overview
The Lincolnshire Run is a 6-hour timed running event. Participants can choose to run 5 km or aim for longer distances up to an ultra marathon within the time limit. The final lap can be started up until 5 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds into the event.
Course Details
The course consists of laps on a flat, tarmac path, mainly following an old railway line. A small section at the start and finish of each lap is on a field. The route is an out-and-back format with no navigation required. The lap distance is 3.28 miles.
Distances & Lap Structure
Distances are achieved by completing a certain number of laps:
- A 5 km distance uses a turn point on the lap.
- A 10 km is 2 laps of the 5 km route.
- A half marathon is 4 laps of the 3.28-mile course.
- A marathon is 8 laps.
- An ultra marathon is 9 or more laps.
On-Site Facilities
A support table at the end of each lap provides water, squash, fizzy drinks, and a variety of food. Toilets are located at the pavilion on the playing field. Parking is available at the Skellingthorpe Community Centre car park.
