Event Overview

The Dukeries 30 / 40 is an annual trail running event hosted by HOBO Pace. It offers two distances: a 30-mile loop and a 40-mile loop. The event is for runners only; walkers are not permitted.

Route & Course

The race starts in the heart of Sherwood Forest. The route follows forest trails and footpaths on a clockwise, circular loop. It passes landmarks such as Cresswell Crags, skirts the Welbeck Estate, crosses Clumber Park, and goes through peaceful farmland before returning via the Thoresby Estate to Sherwood Forest. The 40-mile route also passes The Major Oak. The course is waymarked with tape and arrows, and marshals are present at aid stations.

Practical Information

The start and finish location is the Walesby Sports & Social Club in Nottinghamshire. Parking is available but limited, so car sharing is recommended. The event has a maximum entry limit of 250 runners.

Several aid stations are provided along the route, offering drinks and refreshments. All HOBO Pace events serve fully vegan provisions. There is an overall cut-off time of 10.5 hours, with a strict cut-off enforced at the A614 aid station. Pacers are not allowed, and crews are not permitted at aid stations.

Registration typically opens three weeks before the event and closes once full or three weeks prior. No entries are accepted on the day. Participants must be over 20 years of age. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
