Event overview
The Dukeries 30 / 40 is an annual one-lap trail event held on Saturday 9th May 2026 near Walesby, Newark, Nottinghamshire (NG22 9PF). The event is for runners aged 20 or older and has a maximum field of 250 entrants. Entry fees shown are £46 for the 30 mile option and £53 for the 40 mile option. All HOBO Pace events are fully vegan. The race is fully waymarked and marshalled, with first aid medics on course.
Course, logistics and rules
Both routes start in the Sherwood Forest area and follow marked forest trails, footpaths, minor roads and cycle paths. The route passes Creswell Crags, skirts the Welbeck Estate, crosses Clumber Park and returns via the Thoresby area. The 40 mile route includes a section past The Major Oak. The published loop distances are approximately:

There are regular, well stocked aid stations and a cut-off of 10.5 hours for completion. The A614 aid station is the enforced cut-off point; competitors must stop there if there is insufficient time to cover the remaining 7 miles within the 10.5 hours. Pacers are not allowed. Dogs and canicross are permitted but limited to 20 canicross runners. No drop bags are allowed. Parking at the headquarters is limited.
