Dukeries 30 / 40

The Dukeries 30 / 40 is an annual trail running event held in Sherwood Forest near Walesby, Newark, Nottinghamshire. It is a single clockwise circular loop that is waymarked and marshalled, using forest trails, footpaths and minor roads. The route passes Creswell Crags, skirts the Welbeck Estate, crosses Clumber Park and goes by the Thoresby Estate; the 40 mile route also passes the Major Oak.

Aid stations are provided at regular intervals and are described on the course maps. Approximate aid station locations include Hazel Gap, Cresswell Crags and an A614 aid station; the full loop measures about 30.8 miles and 40.8 miles respectively. A 10.5 hour overall cut off applies; the A614 aid station is an enforced cut off where competitors may be held if there is insufficient time to complete the remaining distance.

Entries are limited and will close three weeks before the event or when full. The event is for runners only; walkers are not accepted. Dogs and canicross are allowed with a restricted number of canicross entries. Pacers and drop bags are not permitted. Parking at the hall and a nearby farm is limited.
