The Trent Valley Ultra is a scenic point-to-point running event held in Nottinghamshire. The course covers a distance of 50 km and takes participants through a variety of terrains in the local countryside. The route utilizes a combination of footpaths, bridleways, tracks, and minor roads, passing through several regional villages.

The event structure allows for individual participation or pair entries. While pairs can register together for a reduced fee, each participant receives an individual finishing time and runners are not required to stay together during the event. Participants must be at least 18 years of age on the day of the race.

Support is provided throughout the route with checkpoints located every 6 to 8 miles. These stations offer refreshments for the runners as they progress through the course. Practical facilities at the start include accessible car parking near the registration area at the Milestone Brewery & Tap in Cromwell.
