Event Information
The Lincoln Half Marathon is a running event. The course covers a distance of 13.1 miles. It starts and finishes at the Lincolnshire Showground. The route passes several local landmarks, including Lincoln Castle and Lincoln Cathedral.
Entry and Participation
Entrants must be 17 years or older on the day of the event. Race numbers are for collection only. Participants are not allowed to let anyone else run with their race number; doing so will result in disqualification.
On the Day
The Event Village will have food and drink available for purchase. Baggage storage is provided. Water stations and Applied Nutrition energy stations offering isotonic drinks and energy gels will be located on the course. Pacers sponsored by Arla Protein will be present to help runners meet target finish times. Medical first aid stations and roaming first aiders will be available. Sports massages will be offered post-race in the Event Village courtesy of Lincoln Private Hospital - Circle Health Group.
Participants are encouraged to use recycling bins provided at water stations. A scheme with JogOn allows runners to donate old trainers at drop-off stations in the Event Village. Bone-conducting headphones are permitted, but volume must be kept low to hear marshal instructions and surroundings.
Travel and Parking
Car parking is available at the Lincolnshire Showground (LN2 2NA) via Gates 2 and 4. Gate 1 is not available for parking. Specific entry and exit gates are designated based on direction of travel. A drop-off loop for participants uses Gate 4 for entry and Gate 5 for exit.
Sponsors and Charities
The event is supported by various sponsors and partner charities. Runners can fundraise for these partner charities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
