Event Information
The City of Lincoln 10K is a road running event that takes place in Lincoln. The start line is on Riseholme Road. The course is described as fast and flat and passes landmarks including the Roman Walls and Lincoln Cathedral. The finish is near Lincoln Cathedral, and the post-event Event Village is located at Lincoln Castle.
What's Included
Participants receive chip timing, a finisher's goody bag, and an exclusive medal. There is also an option to pre-order a finisher t-shirt.
Participation and Logistics
Entrants must be 15 years or older on the event day. The event encourages people of all abilities to take part. Race numbers are mailed out approximately two weeks before the event. For participants with a postal address outside the UK, race numbers must be collected from the Race Office on the event weekend.
On the day, a Baggage Store is available at the Yarborough Leisure Centre Car Park before the race and at The Lawn Car Park after the race. Water stations are provided along the course. Pacers, sponsored by Arla Protein, will be present to help runners achieve target finish times. Toilets are available around the stadium.
Sustainability
The event encourages environmental responsibility. Recycling bins are provided at water stations, and participants are asked to use bins or hand litter to marshals. A trainer recycling scheme with JogOn is also offered.
Travel Information
Several car parks are available but have limited spaces. Sudbrooke Drive Car Park is a 15-20 minute walk from the start. Breedon Drive Car Park is designated for blue badge holders.
