Event details
The City of Lincoln 10K takes place in Lincoln on Sunday 12 April 2026. The event is a 10K road race that starts on Riseholme Road and finishes near Lincoln Cathedral. The course is described as fast and flat and passes local landmarks such as the Roman Walls, Lincoln Cathedral, and the city gardens. Entrants must be 15 years or over on event day.
On-the-day logistics and services
The event includes chip timing, a finisher’s goody bag, an exclusive medal, and an option to pre-order a finisher t-shirt. An Event Village is located at Lincoln Castle. Baggage drop before the race is at Yarborough Leisure Centre Car Park and closes at 9:40. After the race, baggage collection is at The Lawn Car Park. Water stations on course provide 330 ml bottles of water and have recycling bins nearby. Pacers sponsored by Arla Protein will run with flags indicating target finish times. Toilets are provided around the stadium and first aid stations are located near water stations, with a first aid unit and recovery area close to the finish. Event photographs are taken by MarathonPhotos and are available for purchase. Race numbers are posted about two weeks before the event to UK addresses; overseas entrants are asked to collect numbers from the Race Office on event weekend.
