City of Lincoln Mini and Junior Run
The City of Lincoln Mini and Junior Run is a youth fun run for children aged 3 to 14. The event offers two measured routes and provides on-course photography, event bins, and race numbers issued by collection only. Organisers state an inclusive approach and invite families to discuss any mobility or other special considerations in advance.
Available distances:
- Mini 1.5 km, ages 3 to 8, child must run with a parent or guardian
- Junior 2.5 km, ages 9 to 14
All finishers receive water, food and a finisher medal. Junior entries now include official timing so young runners can record a finish time. There is no baggage store for these races, and clothing left at the start or finish will be collected and donated to charity. A warm-up will be offered by Active Nation and photographic coverage will be taken on course by the Marathon Photos team; photos are available for purchase after the event.
Travel and site notes: the start is at Yarborough Leisure Centre running track, parking is available at the Yarborough Leisure Centre car park, and the finish is located near Lincoln Cathedral. Organisers provide a limited number of free entries for schools and registered community groups, allocated on a first come first served basis.
