Event details
The City of Lincoln 10K takes place in Lincoln on Sunday 12 April 2026. The course starts on Riseholme Road and finishes near Lincoln Cathedral. The route is described as flat and passes several city sights, including the Roman Walls, Lincoln Cathedral, and the city gardens. Entrants must be 15 years or over on event day.
On-the-day services and logistics
Chip timing is provided and finishers receive a goody bag and an exclusive medal, with an option to pre-order a finisher t-shirt. Water stations on course supply 330 ml bottles and recycling bins are available at each water station. Pacers with finish-time flags will be on the course. Medical cover includes first aid stations near water stations, a first aid unit and recovery area near the finish, and roaming first aiders.
An Event Village at Lincoln Castle will offer food and drink for purchase and host partner charities. Baggage drop is at Yarborough Leisure Centre Car Park before the race; post-race baggage collection is at The Lawn Car Park. Race numbers are posted about two weeks before the event to UK addresses or can be collected from the Race Office on event weekend. Travel options listed include car, train (Lincoln Railway Station), and walking. Recycling and a trainer drop-off for reuse are part of the event’s sustainability measures.
