Lights on the Lake 5K
Lights on the Lake 5K includes a 5K walk on November 21, 2026 and a 5K run on November 22, 2026. Both events take place at the Salt Museum Parking Lot within Onondaga Lake Park in Liverpool, NY.

Registration opens on September 10, 2026 and closes on October 29, 2026. The registration fee for each event is $35.00. Each event is capped at 750 participants.
Packet pick up is available at the Salt Museum (106 Lake Drive, Liverpool). Packet pick up times include Friday, November 20 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM; weekend packet pick up is available at the Salt Museum on the dates of the events. Entrants should enter off of 1st Street and turn onto Lake Drive; do not use Willow Street or the Onondaga Lake Parkway entrance.
The walk participants receive a buff. Run participants receive a beanie. Timing and results are provided for the 5K run. Limited edition 2026 Lights on the Lake 5K ornaments are awarded to the top three finishers in each age level and mailed after the race. Age groups for prizes are: 1-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.
A portion of the proceeds and all donations will go to Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital. The event collects unwrapped toys for the hospital across age categories including Infant/Toddler, Preschool, School Age, Adolescent, art supplies, and books. Due to safety and infection control guidelines the hospital cannot accept used items, homemade food, blankets, pillows, or gift wrapped items.
