Event overview
Dashing through the Glow 5K at Lanier Islands takes place on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Lanier Islands, 7000 Lanier Islands Parkway, Buford, GA 30518. The event lineup includes a 5K Run/Walk, a Virtual Runner option, a No Medal/No Shirt 5K, and a vendor area. Capacity is limited to 1,500 participants. Registered in-person participants receive a crewneck sweatshirt or may upgrade to a hoodie, and all registered finishers receive a custom finisher medal. Overall and age-group winners receive Santa Claus bobblehead trophies. Participants may add a keepsake ornament during registration.
Logistics and other information
The course runs through updated Christmas light displays. Returning displays include Marching Toy Soldiers, 12 Days of Christmas, Old Man Winter, and Candy Cane Lane. New displays include Tailgating Santa, Pickleball Elves, and multi-faith light displays at the new Chapel on Lanier. Packet and bib pick-up is planned from Wednesday, November 5 through Saturday, November 8 at Big Peach Running Co. - Braselton, 7419 Spout Springs Rd. #103, Flowery Branch, GA 30542 (store hours Monday to Friday 10:00 to 18:00; Saturday 10:00 to 17:00). Remaining packets will be available at the race location on Sunday starting at 4:30 pm; unclaimed packets will be donated. Strollers are allowed but must start at the back and walk. Dogs are not allowed. All race proceeds will benefit the Georgia Mountain Food Bank Association, which has distributed over 94 million pounds of food since 2008.
