Fort Yargo Ultra
The Fort Yargo Ultra is a trail event at Fort Yargo State Park in Winder, Georgia, featuring a 15.6-mile loop run entirely on single-track trails. The event offers two distance options:
- 50K - two 15.6-mile loops
- 25K - one 15.6-mile loop
The course is fully marked and held on trails around the park and lake. The event includes a canine run option; canine participants register under the 25K.
Logistics and services
Registration is open and closes April 3, 2026. Entry fees listed are $150 for the 50K and $130 for the 25K. There will be no race day registration; the event was sold out in 2024. Park entry fees are included in the race fee. Participants should enter the main gate and follow staff directions for parking; parking is limited.
Aid stations are provided along the course with water, Gatorade, cola, snacks, cookies, candy, sandwiches, and fruit. Support crews are not required; maps of aid station locations are provided at check-in. 50K runners may use one-gallon drop bags provided at check-in and placed at aid stations. The organizer provides a marked course, timing, dry-fit t-shirts, finisher medals, race photos, aid station supplies, awards, and a meal for racers.
Entries and rules
Entries are non-refundable but may be transferred to another racer subject to organizer rules. All runners must sign a waiver and bring it to check-in. Race rules cover course adherence, aid station use, crew access, and conduct; race staff and medical personnel directions must be followed.
