Event Overview

The Fort Yargo Ultra is a trail race held at Fort Yargo State Park near Winder, Georgia, just outside Atlanta. It takes place on a 15.6-mile single-track loop trail within the park.

Distances

  • 50K: Two loops of the 15.6-mile course.
  • 25K: One loop of the same course.
  • Canine Run: A 25K option for runners with dogs, starting 15 minutes after the regular 25K start.

Event Details

The start and finish line is at the Lake Pavilion, next to the park's visitors center at 210 S Broad St. Parking fees are included in the race entry. 50K runners are provided with one drop bag, which will be placed at two specified aid stations. A fresh post-race meal from Moe's Southwest Grill is provided for all racers.

Schedule and Logistics

The event has an overall race day cut-off time of 6:00pm. Runners must print, sign, and bring a waiver to check-in. There is no race day registration. Registration can be transferred to another runner until five days before the event.

Participant Perks

All finishers receive a medal and a dry-fit t-shirt. The event also provides race timing, aid station supplies, free parking, and free race photos.
