Event Overview

The Fort Yargo Ultra is a trail race taking place in Fort Yargo State Park, just outside Winder, Georgia. It features a 15.6-mile loop course, which is run twice for the 50K race and once for the 25K race. The event is held in April. A separate Canine Run for dogs is held in conjunction with the 25K distance.

Course & Logistics

The race is run 100% on single-track trails. The course consists of rolling hills around a lake. A 50K runner receives a one-gallon drop bag at check-in. There are aid stations on the course. The race start and finish is at the Lake Pavilion next to the visitor center. Parking fees are included in the race entry. The event has a set cutoff time.

Runner Perks & Awards

Participants receive a dry-fit t-shirt and a finisher medal. All racers get a meal after the event. Free race photos are provided. Awards are given to the top three overall men and women, as well as top finishers in masters and grand masters age categories.
