The Fort Yargo Ultra is a trail-only event at Fort Yargo State Park near Winder, Georgia. The course uses a 15.6-mile loop on single-track trails; the 50K consists of two loops and the 25K consists of one loop. The race is held entirely on marked trails and starts and finishes at the Lake Pavilion adjacent to the park visitors center.
The event includes multiple staffed aid stations stocked with water, electrolyte drink, soda, snacks, cookies, candy, sandwiches, and fruit. Fifty-kilometer runners may use one-gallon drop bags provided at check-in and placed at aid stations. Park fees are included in the race fee; participants should follow staff directions for parking and note that parking is limited.
