About the race
The Fort Yargo Ultra is a trail race held at Fort Yargo State Park near Winder, Georgia, organized by Warrior Adventure Racing. The event offers multiple distance options on marked single-track trails around the park lake.
Distances
- 50K completed as two laps of a 15.6-mile loop
- 25K completed as one lap of the same 15.6-mile loop
The course is 100 percent on trails and uses rolling hills around the lake. The start and finish areas are at the Lake Pavilion by the park visitors center. Park entry fees are included with race entry. Drop bags: 50K runners may use two one-gallon drop bags that will be available at aid stations number 2 and number 5; gear may also be stored at the start and finish area. The course is fully marked and supported with aid station supplies, timing, and free race photos.
Participants receive a race shirt, finisher medal, awards, and a postrace meal provided for all racers. Awards include top three finishers in multiple age classes, with special overall prizes for 50K winners. Entries are nonrefundable; transfers to another racer in the same event are permitted until five days before the event. Runners must print and sign the required waiver and bring it to check-in.
