Light Up The Valley 5K Run/Walk & 1 Mile - 2026
Light Up The Valley 5K Run/Walk & 1 Mile - 2026 is the inaugural community run benefiting the Sunshine Girls Running Club. The event is held in Bellville, Ohio, with registration/check-in and the start and finish located on Hines Avenue at 120 Hines Avenue.
Distances offered:
- 5K Run/Walk, chip-timed, event shirt provided with timely registration
- 1 Mile, chip-timed, family-friendly option with event shirt provided with timely registration
The course passes through downtown Bellville and uses the B&O Bike Trail, crossing the Clear Fork River via the railroad bridge before returning to Hines Avenue for a downhill finish. The route will be marked with chalk and signs, and volunteers and local safety personnel will monitor roads and intersections.
Parking is available on nearby public streets and designated public parking areas; the elementary school and youth ballfields on Hines Avenue and East Street are noted as primary parking areas. Portable restrooms will be available near the registration and start/finish area.
Awards will be presented after the 5K to top overall male and female finishers and to top finishers in multiple age-group categories, with medals for first through third places by age group. The 1 Mile will include awards for top youth finishers. Door prizes from local businesses will also be offered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
