Event overview
The Light the Night 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for January 23, 2026 in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. The event takes place on the New Smyrna Beach Pedestrian Trail with a start/finish area at 357 Otter Blvd. The race distance is 5K. The preregistration fee for the 5K is $35 and the fee is non-refundable.
Registration and packet information
Registration can be completed in person at New Smyrna Beach Leisure Services, 201 N. Myrtle Avenue, or by mail to New Smyrna Beach Leisure Services, ATTN: Light the Night 5K Run/Walk, 210 Sams Ave, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168. Packet pickup is scheduled in the days immediately before the event and on the event day at Fleet Feet, 433 Canal St., New Smyrna Beach. Only preregistered runners are guaranteed a T-shirt.
Race services and awards
The race will be professionally timed and scored by Hasselmania Productions using disposable electronic timing tags attached to the bib. Runners are asked to wear their bib on the front, pinned at all four corners, visible and unaltered. Printed results will be posted at the race site and live online at RaceSmith.com. Awards for the 5K include overall male and female winners and the top three finishers in five age categories for both males and females. Participants are encouraged to wear glow-in-the-dark clothing for this nighttime event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
