Light the Darkness 5K is scheduled for January 24, 2026, in Cocoa Beach, FL. The main in-person event is a 5-kilometre out-and-back race on the beach in front of Lori Wilson Park. The event also includes a virtual race option and a vendor category. The race is described as an evening beach event held during Human Trafficking Awareness Month.
Race details and amenities
The event uses a new location at Lori Wilson Park, South Entrance on N. Atlantic Ave. Packet pickup details are to be determined. Awards will be given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall male and female finishers and to master male and female; there are no age-group awards. Additional prizes will be given for best lighted participants.
All participants receive a finisher medal, one free raffle ticket and one free drink ticket. A unisex short-sleeve shirt is included, with an early-registration option to choose a tank top for a limited time. A finisher patch is available as an add-on. A race village with vendors and a food truck will be on site; vendor spaces are 10x10 and vendors must provide their own lighting, tent and generator if power is needed. Parking is available in Lori Wilson Park lots on a first-come basis.
