Mohican Trail Run
The Mohican Trail Run includes the Mohican Trail 100 Mile Run, often called the MO 100, and shorter race options. The event takes place on trails within the Mohican Memorial State Forest and uses the Mohican Adventures pavilion near Loudonville for packet pickup, race starts, and the finish area.
The course is arranged in one to four loops depending on the chosen distance and is marked with reflective Mohican 100 markers, colored loop arrows, and temporary signs and flags. Aid stations are located about every five miles and stock beverages, snacks, electrolyte products, sandwiches, fruit, coffee, and simple hot options such as ramen or broth. Drop bags for 50 mile and 100 mile runners may be left at specified aid stations (Covered Bridge and Mohican Adventures) and must be clearly labeled.
Key event features include:
- 100 mile
- 50 mile
- Marathon
The 100 mile race has a 32 hour final cutoff; the 50 mile and Marathon have no separate cutoff beyond the 100 mile aid station schedule. Awards include cash prizes for top finishers in each distance, finisher medals for the Marathon and 50 mile, a 100 mile finishers buckle for those within the time limit, and multi-time finishers buckles for long-term accumulations. Volunteers receive an official race t-shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
