Life Time Tropical 5K
The Life Time Tropical 5K is a point-to-point road race held in Miami on January 30, 2027. The course begins on the MacArthur Causeway on the east side of Watson Island and finishes near 1 Washington Avenue, with a post-race festival at the finish area. The event includes an alert system displayed at each mile marker that indicates race status based on course and weather conditions.
Registered participants receive a Finisher’s medal upon crossing the finish line; athletes must be wearing their official race bib to receive the medal. Awards are presented in overall and age group divisions. Overall awards include male, female, masters, hand crank, push rim, and nonbinary categories; age group medals are awarded three deep across standard age brackets. Athletes who place in the top three overall are removed from age group award contention. Overall awards are presented during an awards ceremony and age group awards are distributed at the results booth in the post-race festival.
Transportation and parking are organized around designated pick-up and drop-off locations. Shuttles are provided only for officially registered participants to the start and back from finish-area pickup locations after the race; there are no shuttles between the start and finish for this point-to-point course. Parking options include a designated garage at Jungle Island with a flat parking fee; garages are first come, first served and may fill. Race details are subject to change.
