Life Time Tropical 5K - January 30, 2027
The Life Time Tropical 5K is a 5 kilometer road race held as part of the Life Time Miami Marathon and Half weekend. The course is point to point, with the start line on the MacArthur Causeway on the east side of Watson Island and the finish at 1 Washington Avenue. Race details are subject to change.
All registered participants receive a Finisher’s medal upon crossing the finish line; the official race bib must be worn to receive the medal. Participants must maintain a 20 minute per mile pace and complete the course within 60 minutes of crossing the start line to remain on the course. An event alert system displays the race status at each mile marker based on current course and weather conditions.
Awards are given for overall and age group divisions. Overall awards include categories for male, female, masters, hand crank, push rim, and nonbinary winners. Age group medals are awarded three deep for standard age brackets from 14 and under up to 75 plus. Overall awards are distributed during the awards ceremony and age group awards are available from the Results booth at the post race Finish Festival.
Parking and transportation options are available near the course on a first come, first served basis. Shuttles to the start and post race shuttles from the finish operate for registered participants only. There is no parking available at the Miami Children’s Museum. A pre race Expo is held for packet pickup prior to race day.
A pre race beach cleanup with the Life Time Foundation and Clean Miami Beach takes place during the race weekend. The event includes a Groups and Charities program with an application deadline of December 31, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
