Event
The Life Time Tropical 5K is scheduled for January 24, 2026 as part of the Life Time Miami Marathon and Half weekend. The course is point-to-point, starting on the MacArthur Causeway on the east side of Watson Island (980 MacArthur Causeway) and finishing near 1 Washington Avenue. An event status alert system will be displayed at each mile marker to show race status based on course and weather conditions. A post-race festival and Finish Festival are held near the finish area.
Logistics and awards
Participants are encouraged to pick up race packets at the Life Time Miami Marathon & Half Expo on January 23, 2026. Several parking options are available near the course on a first-come, first-served basis; shuttles and designated pick-up/drop-off locations serve registered participants to and from the Start Line and post-race locations. There is no parking at the Miami Children’s Museum. Jungle Island offers a flat-rate parking option; the garage may fill quickly and access can be closed once full. There will be no shuttles from the start to the finish for this point-to-point course.
All finishers receive a Finisher’s medal upon crossing the finish line and must be wearing the official race bib to receive it. Overall awards and age-group medals are presented; age-group divisions range from 14 and under through 75+. The Groups & Charities program application deadline is December 31, 2025.
