Lichfield 10K & Family Fun Run
The event is held in Beacon Park, Lichfield, and comprises a certified 10 km race and a separate family Fun Run. The race village is based in Beacon Park; there is parking nearby and access to local cafes and shops. Spectators are expected at the start and finish areas and at a halfway point in Chorley, while Fun Run spectators can watch anywhere on the park course.

The 10 km is a measured, licensed race run under UKA rules and is chip timed. It uses mainly rural country lanes on closed roads and includes an initial wide flat kilometre, a series of five hills on the outward section, then a fast downhill into Beacon Park. Support includes an escort car and motorcycles, pacers at set target times, friendly marshals, comprehensive medical cover provided by St Johns Ambulance, water at start, halfway and finish, and a banana for each competitor. Results are texted after the race. Cash prizes are awarded for the first three places in men's and women's categories and for course records. A wooden medal is included; t shirts made from recycled plastic are available to buy and all plastic waste is recycled. Free finish and halfway photos are provided. Profits support Lichfield Running Club and local charities.
The Fun Run is a safe, well marshalled 2 km route entirely within Beacon Park with its own start and finish arch and timing clock. It is open to all ages but children under 9 must be accompanied by an entering adult. Prizes, water, bananas and sweets are provided.
