The Wolverhampton Half Marathon and 10K
The Wolverhampton event offers a closed-road Half Marathon and a 10K that start and finish on North Street beside the Civic Halls in Wolverhampton, WV1 1RD. The route runs through the city and into nearby leafy suburbs, passing West Park, Compton Park, Tettenhall, Molineux Stadium, St Peter’s Church and Wolverhampton Art Gallery.
The event provides chip-timed results and awards prize presentations after each race, including prizes for the top three male and female finishers and age group prizes in ten-year categories. All finishers receive a medal, a t-shirt and a goody bag. Cut off times are 3.5 hours for both the Half Marathon and the 10K.
Course features include closed roads, clearly marked mile markers and water stations at miles 3, 6, 9 and 12. Toilets are available at the start, at the finish and at a mid-course location. The event also supports local charities and community groups, including Compton Hospice.
