Liberty's Lost Treasure
Liberty's Lost Treasure is a trail race held at the Lake Liberty Trail near Guthrie, OK, at 7413S Academy Rd. The event features single-track trails that form a 7.8 mile loop around the lake; the 5K is an out-and-back course.
Distances offered:
- 5K : Out and back course
- 12.5K : One full 7.8 mile loop
- 25K : Two full 7.8 mile loops
- 50K : Four full 7.8 mile loops
The 50K has a 10 hour cutoff. The loop route crosses Forrest Hills Road and Seward Road but does not require road running beyond brief crossings. The start and finish are located at the trailhead near campsites and the beach area, with space for chairs and canopies around the start/finish area.
There will be one aid station about 4 miles into the course; there is no crew access at that aid station. Crew access is available only at the start/finish area. Aid stations are described as fully stocked. Race day amenities include a participant t shirt, optional hoodies for purchase, post race meals, and complimentary race photos. All finishers receive distance specific buckles or medals.
A ruck division is offered with minimum weight requirements based on bodyweight, trekking poles allowed, weighted vests permitted if weight meets the minimum, and no podium awards for the ruck division. Dogs are allowed on leash. Participants are responsible for their own safety and local EMS will be used for medical emergencies. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
