Liberty's Lost Treasure in Guthrie, OK
Liberty's Lost Treasure is a trail event organized by Trail Ultras on the Lake Liberty Trail near Guthrie, OK. The course uses a 7.8 mile loop around the lake with single-track sections described as flowy and fast. The 5K uses an out-and-back route. The 50K has a 10 hour cutoff. The start and finish are at the trailhead near campsites and the beach area, with space for chairs and canopies around the start/finish area.
Entries include a race shirt, and hoodies are available for purchase. All finishers receive event-specific buckles or medals. The event provides fully stocked aid stations, one aid station located about four miles into the loop, and complimentary race photos and post-race meals. Crew access is not allowed at the midcourse aid station; crew access is available at the start/finish area.
A ruck division is offered with basic weight rules: a 10 pound minimum for participants under 150 pounds and a 20 pound minimum for those over 150 pounds. Trekking poles and weighted vests that meet the minimum are allowed. Weight may not include consumables or clothing. No podium awards are given in the ruck division, but finishers receive a medal and a custom Velcro patch.
Race rules require runners to avoid littering, notify aid stations if withdrawing, and follow race management directions. Local EMS will be used for medical emergencies. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
