Event Details
Liberty's Lost Treasure is a trail running event taking place on Saturday, November 7, 2026, in Guthrie, Oklahoma. The start and finish are located at a trailhead near 7413S Academy Rd., close to campsites and a beach area. The event features a rucking division in addition to standard running distances.
Distances
The event offers the following race distances:
- 5K – Out-and-back course.
- 12.5K – One full 7.8-mile loop.
- 25K – Two full 7.8-mile loops.
- 50K – Four 7.8-mile loops.
Each distance also has a corresponding "Ruck" division. The 50K distance has a 10-hour cutoff time.
Course
The main course uses the Lake Liberty Trail, described as fun, flowy, and fast single-track terrain. Runners complete loops around the lake, except for the 5K. The course winds through trails surrounding Liberty Lake, offering scenic views. Runners will cross Forrest Hills Road and Seward Road, but no road running is required.
Amenities and Rules
All finishers receive a unique buckle or medal for their event distance. Each entry includes a t-shirt, and hoodies are available for separate purchase. The event provides complimentary race photos, fully stocked aid stations, and post-race meals. There is one aid station approximately 4 miles into the race loop, with no crew access permitted there. Crew access is only available at the start/finish area.
Dogs are allowed but must be leashed at all times. Trekking poles are permitted. The event has specific rules against littering, stashing supplies, and accepting rides during the race. Runners who drop out must notify race management.
Rucking Division
The rucking division has specific weight requirements: a minimum of 10 lbs for participants under 150 lbs, and a minimum of 20 lbs for those over 150 lbs. The weight cannot include consumables or wearable items like food, water, or clothing. Weighted vests are allowed if they meet the minimum. Trekking poles are permitted. Ruck finishers earn a medal and a custom Velcro patch, but there are no podium awards.
Registration and Policies
Registration closes on Tuesday, November 3. The event offers a 10% military discount for active duty and veterans, and a child discount for participants 15 and under when registering in person. Volunteer opportunities are available, with benefits including registration discounts for future races. The event does not offer refunds, deferrals, or transfers, but provides credit for future Outlaw races based on a sliding scale if cancellation occurs more than 30 days before the event.
