Liberty's Lost Treasure
Liberty's Lost Treasure is a trail race on the Lake Liberty Trail near Liberty Lake. The course uses fun, flowy, and fast single-track terrain and centers on a 7.8 mile loop around the lake. The 5K uses an out-and-back route instead of the loop.
Race distances offered:
- 5K – Out and back course
- 12.5K – One full 7.8 mile loop
- 25K – Two full 7.8 mile loops
- 50K – Four full 7.8 mile loops
The 50K has a 10 hour cutoff. The loop passes scenic trails around the lake and includes brief crossings of Forrest Hills Road and Seward Road without extended road running. The start and finish are located at the trailhead near the main entrance, close to campsites and the beach area, with space for chairs and canopies.
There will be one aid station about 4 miles into the course. Crew access is not allowed at that aid station; crew may access the start and finish area only. Trekking poles and leashed dogs are permitted on the course.
A rucking division is offered on a 13 mile loop with minimum weight rules based on participant body weight, allowances for weighted vests, and restrictions on consumables counting toward required weight. Finishers within time limits receive distance-specific belt buckles or medals; overall first male and female receive overall awards.
The event is part of the Outlaw Trail Series, which awards an Oklahoma-shaped plaque for completing all six series races in a calendar year. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
